About
In our initial meeting with Pirelli, it became evident that they sought a bold and dynamic office design within an extremely tight timeline. This directive served as the cornerstone of our creative process, influencing every aspect of our approach to shaping the space.
Our concept revolved around a radial arrangement, with all offices radiating from the core. Circulation pathways were meticulously calculated for optimal efficiency, while support services were strategically positioned against the core to maximize natural light. The pantry, reception, and boardroom formed the vibrant heart of the space, all easily accessible from the main entrance.
To amplify the curvature of the space, we overlaid a second set of circles, creating dynamic movement emphasized by window bulkheads and gypsum cross walls. This design element guided occupants through the space, accentuating its unique shape. Open ceilings in the open-plan areas and circulation routes allowed fire services and GI Circular Ducts to radiate like spokes on a wheel, imparting an industrial yet sleek ambiance.
The pantry, resembling a transparent jewel box, sits prominently in the center, bathed in Pirelli’s signature yellow hue—a nod to the brand’s identity. This central hub also houses the riser, now repurposed as a communal laptop bar adorned with the tire manufacturing recipe.
The result is a space where glass, concrete, and metal coalesce to create a raw architectural aesthetic, punctuated by accents of white, yellow, and black. Our design reflects Pirelli’s legacy and innovation, seamlessly blending form and function in a dynamic workspace that truly embodies the essence of the company.
